No. The only possibility of damaging a mattress by compressing it is by leaving it compressed for over 6 months. Bear Beds mattresses are not stored in a compressed state. We don’t compress a mattress until an order is received. As a result, Bear Beds mattresses are only compressed for approximately one to two weeks prior to receipt by the customer.

Note that delivery times for our products vary depending on the items you ordered. For mattresses: Bear Beds mattresses usually ship via UPS or FedEx within 5 business days of the date you place your order. Shipping time varies between 2 and 6 business days, but could be longer depending on weather and other factors. After your bed ships, tracking information will be sent to the email address on file. For bases: Bases are a bit more complicated to ship than mattresses. Depending on the base ordered, it will ship via either UPS, FedEx, or freight. If you have questions about shipping a particular base, please contact us directly. For bedding: Bear Beds bedding orders are shipped via FedEx and usually ship within 3-5 business days. Yes. We use an expensive and sophisticated piece of machinery to vacuum pack each of our mattresses for shipping. This makes the mattresses easier to ship and easier to receive by the customer. Furthermore, compressed mattresses can be easily moved around the house prior to set up, whether that’s up stairs, down halls, or around corners.

We strive to get your mattress shipped as soon as possible after you place your order. Shipping time is generally 2-6 business days. If you have a date by which your new mattress must arrive, please contact us prior to ordering and we’ll examine every option to see what might be possible.

No. However, most disposal companies have a mattress disposal and/or recycling program. If you are charged a mattress disposal fee by your disposal company, our pricing (as compared to our competitors) on extremely high-quality mattresses will almost certainly cover this cost with many dollars to spare.
